Speak Through and To - a forum I am creating to convey wisdom, inspirations, aspirations, and overall positivity for life. The choice to use the internet is obvious; it contains a limitless amount of fascinating resources, but more importantly has the ability to share practically anything at a moment's notice.  I appreciate Facebook, Pinterest, and other such sites, but what is envisioned for this site is that it takes off on many different levels to provide people with a little daily something that is easily accessible. I thought Speak Through & To was appropriate for multiple reasons, mostly for open communicative and inclusive purposes. As I acquire knowledge, wisdom, and hope from many sources (family, friends, acquaintances, and sometimes complete strangers), I desire to share it while continuing in the acquisition of the passion, zeal, and positive perspective in life for anyone and everyone.

Now, to be honest, lately my perspective was dismal. And today - bam, hit like a train. Now I've read and heard the phrases before... "It's all a matter of perspective," or "Keep looking up." La. Te. Dah. NO!!! Not La. Te. Dah at all. Life is worth living and each one of us is responsible for shaping it! I have read so many great things today that awakened my mind, heart, and/or soul to things I've already heard and may reject when I'm throwing a pity party, as well as new things that are striking. If you ever have a rough day or a series of rough days, I suggest you find some quiet space to literally just take a breather and really truly count the smallest of blessings or positives in your life. And while it may not bring an epiphany to your mind, it will put you a step in the right direction.

While my internalization is based on my own filter and there may be some points more significant to you, I found points one and nine to be most excellent and inspiring today. While most of us like to be unique and different while also remaining accepted to others, it is true that our basic needs as people are fundamentally the same. Whether this helps bridge a gap with others or inspires you to demonstrate more love to others, it is inspiring to help us grow as people and relationally.

Additionally, to ponder and accept the point that it is the small things in life that matter is equally important. At the end of the day, do you really care about the money you made, the clout your acquired, or is it the people you come home to or the goals and dreams you are seeking to fulfill? To build upon this point, someone once told me, "If one is unable to handle the small things, they surely will not be able to handle the big things."

So, in lieu of that, I ask you to consider how well you love yourself as well as others. I also pose if you got paid the same for doing any job in the world, what job might you hold? It's hard to conceptualize because we are so stressed with "making it" and being able to provide, which are legitimate concerns. But they are also concerns associated with fear and uncertainty. In "Up In The Air," George Clooney asks a recently fired man, "Do you know why kids look up to professional athletes? It's because they didn't give up on their dreams." How many of us give up or lose sight of our dreams everyday. To reclaim some of that lost spirit, read the above blog and take some quiet time for yourself today! :D

Now, if you are willing, I hope you will respond with anything you feel pertinent. Ideas range from feedback, funny videos, scripture, encouraging stories, maybe a Carpe Diem for you, maybe not. Overall, the idea is to spread positivity. However, I am also open to constructive criticism, as well as "being there" for you in a tough time, too.
